Key Interior Trends: What’s in Store for Autumn/Winter 2015

It’s hard to believe that we’re almost at the end of summer already. Not that we’re wishing the warmer months away, but there is something quite lovely about settling down during the cooler section of the year, snuggled up on a great piece of furniture, slippers on feet and something hot to drink in hand. Do you agree?

With that in mind, we’re bringing you some of autumn/winter’s top interior trends for 2015. Of course, everyone’s different; we’re well aware that what works for one home owner, doesn’t for another. It’s the reason why we see such disparity when it comes to orders. Sure, shades like cream, beige, tan, grey and black will always be popular when it comes to decorating a home, but we’ve also been seeing a huge influx for something a little different. Metallic leather swatches, pastels and even bold shades like lime green and cerise have all been leaving our workshop via beautifully-upholstered leather sofas.

So, let’s have a look at three of the key trends taking over this year – and see if you can spot one of your own favourite trends amongst them:

Grey

Neutrals have always been big news, but this year more than ever. Meet grey: the new white/beige and cream. You’ll see it everywhere from linens to furniture; on rugs and in beautifully-painted cabinets and drawers. You can also spot it here, on our Paris chair. Upholstered (below) in our Country Flint wool, it can also be created in a host of other grey shades, as can all our pieces.

Midnight Blue

Want to make the most of richer shades, as we move into the autumn/winter months? Midnight blue is simply stunning – and it’s a key trend for the back end of 2015. Checks and Plaid

Checks have been a key trend in fashion for some time; you see them on shirts, skirts and capes. But they’re also taking over in the home, too. Touches of tartan look just perfect in a country house or cottage – and the good news is we supply a host of colourful checks in our cushions and throws range.
