Our ‘What Chesterfields Mean to Me’ series remains popular here on our blog, with everyone from Halifax-based sofa fan\u00a0Jenny<\/a>, to blogger\u00a0Cathie\u00a0<\/a>sharing their light-hearted tales of Chesterfield adoration.<\/p>\n

To continue the series, here on the Distinctive Chesterfields blog today, South Carolina-based interior designer Kimberly from the site KCL -IDESIGN\u00a0<\/a>tells all about why she loves the recognisable style of furniture.<\/p>\n

Back in 2011, Kimberly decided to take her love for interior design to the next level and make it a brand. She established her own interior design company, which represents her deep love for design.<\/p>\n

She’s a huge fan of Chesterfield furniture, and compares her \u00a0perfect couch with Scottish actor Sean Connery! Read on…<\/p>\n

First, I must start this post off by stating that it is a known fact that the number of sofas that have been designed are countless and there will continue to be a countless number of sofas being designed even as I’m writing this post. But, will there ever be a sofa that can wear the crown of being one-of-a-kind?<\/p>\n

Priceless<\/h2>\n

Will there ever be a sofa that is considered, as the commercials would say – \u2018priceless?\u2019 Will there ever be a sofa that can be placed in any interior space\u00a0and is the definite wow factor? Definitely not! The Chesterfield sofa is just\u00a0what the phrase one-of-a-kind means. Unique! It\u2019s that piece of furniture that will always be around.<\/p>\n

Every time I open a design magazine, searching for\u00a0furnishings, or just reading a post featuring this unique sofa, I want to\u00a0scream! That scream is always of joy and happiness. Each time I think I have actually found\u00a0the Chesterfield sofa that is definitely the one for me, I see another one that steals my heart for the moment.<\/p>\n

Then I am back to being overly\u00a0excited! The reason I get so excited is because I’m getting very close to\u00a0re-designing my living room and there will definitely be a Chesterfield sofa taking\u00a0center stage. For the time being, I want to admire just how beautiful one\u00a0sofa can be regardless of what style is surrounding it.<\/p>\n

There are so many words that come to\u00a0mind when I see or hear the words Chesterfield sofa. The so-fabulous words\u00a0like; unique, luxurious, grand, that old fashioned style, beauteous, classic,\u00a0cozy, comfortable, glamorous, stylish, timeless, distinctive, chic, vintage, sleek, and pure sophistication.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t forget about the strong frame, strong rolled arms, and a body\u00a0that\u2019s tufted to perfection. The Chesterfield sofa is definitely wearing all of\u00a0its stylish characteristics very well. I call it the truest body builder of all sofas. The frame is designed to perfection. I compare it to the actor, Sean Connery. The older he gets the more distinguished he looks and the same goes to this so loved sofa. I am so obsessed and crazy in love with every ounce of this unique piece of furniture.<\/p>\n

Dominant<\/h2>\n

As an interior designer I have\u00a0always admired strong and dominant furniture. What’s so amazing about this sofa is whether wanting dominant or moving toward the softer side, this can easily be achieved. When\u00a0choosing the perfect Chesterfield sofa to house in a certain space, finding the\u00a0perfect fabric\u00a0shouldn’t\u00a0be hard to find. From dark chocolate, powerful pink, lavish\u00a0leather, or something in between, there is a ton of\u00a0fabric to choose from.<\/p>\n

How about this\u00a0handsome (genuine) leather Chesterfield sofa that’s giving off a masculine vibe (below)? Love it!\u00a0I figure no matter which Chesterfield\u00a0sofa I end up with, it will be wearing lavish intricate details and boasting\u00a0classic character. Regardless of how many Chesterfield sofas are designed, they\u00a0will always be in a class by themselves. They can also be found in sectionals as well.<\/p>\n

With that being said, there is only one sofa\u00a0that wears the crown and receives a standing ovation. That crown and standing\u00a0ovation goes to the Chesterfield sofa for being beauteous, classic and\u00a0definitely unique.<\/p>\n
