Get the Look: Downton Abbey-inspired Style
If you’re a huge fan of Downton Abbey, you’ve no doubt lusted over the show’s 1920s-inspired set decor too – we know we have!
So in homage to the much-loved TV programme, which is now in its fourth series, we’ve put together a fun collage featuring our favourite 1920s-esque pieces. Of course, we couldn’t resist sneaking a Chesterfield sofa in there. After all, this iconic piece of interior design could well have popped up in traditional houses of the decade, as the Chesterfield has been around since 1694!
If we were styling a 1920s home, we’d add this gorgeous green leather Harewood Chesterfield as a room’s main focal point, incorporating a great many trinkets and treasures inspired by the decade (see below).
We also love this retro cup and saucer set (seen above), which we spotted online, along with this mint green clock with its sharp art deco lines, and these floral cushions, which we think would look just lovely against the deep green of the Harewood sofa (above). Do you? In fact, we could just picture Lady Mary and Lady Edith luxuriating on one of our sofas, could you?
Of course, this is only a spot of Downton Abbey fun, but how would you style a 1920s, art deco room? Let us know by commenting below.
Until next time…
